In-Person Wild Writing in Ashland

Start your fall wild writing in a small group of no more than eight of us. We’ll do three writes in each session.  I’ll read a poem, offer prompts or “jump-off-lines” and read it again and offer the prompts again. Then we’ll write for up to fifteen minutes, pens never leaving the page, just saying yes to whatever arises.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to leave your perfectionism at the door and write as poorly as possible. Really. 

After each writing period, we’ll go around the circle and read what we wrote. And here’s the secret sauce of Wild Writing.  We read without interruption, comment, critique or any discussion.  We witness and honor each other’s voice. This fosters safety and intimacy. And, needless to say, what’s written in the room stays in the room.
