What is wild writing?

Writing Poorly…

Yep. That’s right. I’ll read a poem, offer a few jump-off lines, read the poem again and ask us to write as poorly as possible, for fifteen minutes or less for each poem, pen never leaving the page and just say yes to whatever arises. We lower the bar and leave perfectionism at the door.

You can write on your own or you can write with others. You can read what you’ve written in a group of no more than eight people. In groups, we’ll go around the circle and listen to each other without any comment, critique or cross talk. What’s written in the room stays in the room, whether it’s an in-person workshop or a Zoom breakout room. Reading aloud and witnessing others in a safe space is a sacred, connecting experience.

Wild writing is for all of us. Whether you have lots of or no writing experience, whether you’ve always wanted to write and need to kick start your writing or simply want to freely, without your critical eye or voice, get your story on paper, wild writing is for you.

…for good.

My teaching is an offering. All workshop fees will go to a designated, tax-exempt organization or any non-profit organization of your choice. .
